Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Self-Defense at Denmark Dance Company
2026 — Fridays at DDC
Denmark Dance Company hosts Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Self-Defense classes on Fridays during the school term, led by Professor Chris Mazzali — one of Western Australia’s most experienced and respected martial artists.
Chris is a 3rd-degree black belt with over 25 years of martial arts experience, spanning wrestling, karate, classical Japanese martial arts, Chinese systems and more than two decades of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He previously taught in Denmark for eight years, his family still lives here, and many locals currently travel to Albany just to train with him — making his return to Denmark a huge win for our community.
These classes develop confidence, physical intelligence, resilience, focus, and real grappling & self-defense skills, all taught in a safe, welcoming and supportive training environment.
Classes are available for kids, youth and adults, with a focus on learning practical skills while building strength, discipline and community.
