Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Self-Defense at Denmark Dance Company
Term 1 2026 — Fridays at DDC
Starting February 2026, Denmark Dance Company will host weekly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Self-Defense classes with Professor Chris Mazzali — one of Western Australia’s most experienced and respected martial artists in Western Australia — to lead weekly classes for kids, youth and adults.

Chris is a 3rd-degree black belt with over 25 years across wrestling, karate, classical Japanese martial arts, Chinese systems and two decades of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He taught in Denmark for eight years, his family still lives here, and many locals currently drive to Albany just to train with him — so having him back is a massive win for our community.

These classes build confidence, physical intelligence, resilience, focus, and real grappling & self-defense skills in a safe, supportive environment.
