2026 School-Aged Programs - Terms + Conditions

At Denmark Dance Company, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and high-quality learning environment for every student. Enrolling in any school-aged program (ages 6–18) indicates acceptance of the following 2026 Terms & Conditions.

1. Fees & Payments

Payment Options (2026)

Option A — Direct Debit (Preferred)

5 × equal fortnightly instalments per term
Payments begin Week 1
Automatically pauses during school holidays
No upfront payment required

Option B — Upfront Invoice

Full term invoiced and due before Week 1
10% late fee applies after the due date

Pro-Rata Billing
Students joining mid-term are charged from their first week of attendance.

Flat Class Rate
All school-aged classes are billed at $20 per class, regardless of duration.

Annual Enrolment Fee
A non-refundable $35 per child enrolment fee applies each year.

2. Payment Processing Fees (Payrix)

Payments are securely processed through Payrix. The following fees apply per transaction:

Bank Account (Direct Debit)

$0.44 per transaction
$4.40 failed payment fee

Card Payments

0.98% VISA/Mastercard domestic
1.45% VISA/Mastercard international
1.92% AMEX
$4.40 rejected card fee (“insufficient funds”)

Fees are set by Payrix and may change without notice.

3. Membership Requirements (2026)

All school-aged students must hold an active 2026 DDC Membership in GymMaster, based on their class load.

Memberships automatically roll to the next term unless:

a withdrawal request is submitted, or
class load changes.

4. Attendance & Class Participation

Regular attendance supports progress and group choreography.
Missed classes are not refunded.
Teachers determine class placements for safety, age and ability progression.

5. Concert Policy (2026)

Term 4 Performance for dance students (Compulsory)
School-aged concert participation applies only to Term 4.

Term 2 Performance (Optional)
The in-studio performance is optional and not part of compulsory concert participation.

Concert Fees (added to Instalment 1 of Term 4):

Rehearsal Fee: $75
Costume Hire: ~$35 per routine
Video & Photography Package: $40

Non-Refundable Fees
Concert fees become non-refundable once applied due to fixed production and costume costs.

Ticketing
Families will be notified when tickets are released.
All outstanding fees must be paid before a student may perform.

6. Media Release (Photo & Video)

By enrolling, families grant permission for DDC to use photos and videos captured during classes, rehearsals, concerts and events for promotional purposes, including:

Website & social media
Printed materials
Studio marketing & advertising

Privacy

Students will not be identified by full name without written consent.
Families may opt out of class photography by notifying DDC in writing before the term begins.
Opt-outs cannot apply to concerts or public group performances.

7. Behaviour & Respect Policy

All students and families agree to:

Treat teachers, students and families with respect
Maintain positive, safe behaviour
Care for the studio facility and equipment

DDC may terminate enrolment if behaviour repeatedly breaches expectations.

8. Safety & Wellbeing

Health & Injury

Injuries or hazards must be reported immediately.
Proper attire and footwear must be worn.
Parents must disclose any medical or health considerations relevant to participation.

Medical Care
In an emergency, first aid will be administered and parents contacted promptly.

Risk Acknowledgement
Dance and physical activity involve inherent risks.
Participation is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk, releasing DDC from liability except where required by law.

9. Withdrawals, Cancellations & Refunds

Withdrawal Notice

14 days’ written notice via email is required.
Notice must be received 14 days before the next direct debit to avoid additional charges.

Refunds

Term fees are non-refundable once paid.
Pro-rata credits may be offered in special circumstances at DDC’s discretion.

Withdrawal After Concert Fees Applied
Families remain responsible for Term 4 concert fees once billed, due to pre-committed production and costume costs.

Failed Payments
Failed payments must be resolved within 7 days. Late fees apply.

10. Termination by Denmark Dance Company

Enrolment may be terminated if:

Fees remain unpaid
Behaviour or conduct breaches studio policies
Safety or wellbeing is compromised

11. Agreement

By enrolling in the 2026 Denmark Dance Company school-aged program, you acknowledge and agree to all policies listed above.
